Well Thanks Giving has come and gone and I'm excited for the ushering in of the Christmas season. I love Christmas with children, it is so much fun and I love the excitment experienced by kids. I'm excited to give Heather her gifts this year. My personal favorite are sandals I found for her at http://nothinzsandals.com. They will fit our endless summer California lifestyle. We are going to escape to the snow after Christmas this year.

The Robeys wish you all a happy Christmas season. Love you all.

Blog Inauguration

We are finally entering the 21st century. The Robey Family blog will hopefully give us an opportunity to share our photos and experiences with family and friends. We all hope this blog will be a living scrap book and journal of the lives of each family member.

Mark is currently employed by Booz Allen Hamilton as a consultant working with the US Navy in Defense Acquisition. He helps advise a Navy program of Department of Defense Acquisition policy and processes and handles the required monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Department of Defense and Congress. Mark really enjoys what he is doing right now and has the good fortune of working with great people in a good program.

Heather has had a very busy year. She is the "art mom" in Gavin's Kindergarten class and teaches art lessons to the kids. She has enjoyed this and loves to see the kids artistic expression. She worked very hard on each childs "Art Book" presented to the parents during the Canyon View Elemetary school open house, just 2 weeks ago. Mark appreciates her artistic touch and desire to beautify the Robey household. Heather is still a Registered Nurse (she holds a current license) but has made a choice to be home with the kids. Mark is very proud of her decision to be a mother and wife first and appreciates her contributions to the home and each of the children.

Gavin is loving school. He was ready to explode before school started in August 2007, and has just loved being so active and engaged in the classroom. He is a "level 8" reader in his class and enjoys reading and learning. Gavin is artistically inclined and has created many amazing pictures and paintings of dinasaurs, whales, the solar system (and each of the planets), family and self portraits. He also loves science. This school year Gavin has focused on the following learning topics: snakes, sharks, whales, sea creatures, the solar system, volcanos, air planes, trains and dinosaurs. He picks his own topics and studies them out so he knows them well enough to paint them. Gavin turned 6 on March 15, 2008 and had a great time at his space/solar system party.

Cosette is just adorable. She is our little doll. Cosette loves pretending she is a princess and seems very interested in dancing and loves music and singing. Cosette also has a soft spot for little puppies and would love to have a doggie. Cosette takes great care of her baby dolls and tries very hard to change their diapers on time. She is good natured and is very helpful around the house. It is rare to see Cosette without a beaming smile. Cosette had a princess tea party birthday this year. She turned 3 on April 13, 2008.

Jazmine has a great sense of humor. She is quick witted and makes friends easily at school. Jazmine has enjoyed Kindergarten this year and loves her teacher Mrs. Flynn. She enjoys living in San Diego and loves to visit the beach and the zoo. Jazmine is very spiritually minded and loves to learn about the gospel. She has been with us since October 17th and spent Thanksgiving with us in Idaho and Utah while we visited family and friends. Jazmine enjoyed meeting Grandma Ives over Mothers Day weekend. She loves all her friends at school and church. Jazmine had a great princess birthday party this year. She turned 6 on May 20, 2008.
